T-shirts

Bless Your Heart by Cindy Colley

You bought them up!…Only a few smalls left.

Here are the ladies (list below) who will be getting shirts. We are trying to mail these out today. Some of your orders are just partial orders. Just had to do the best I could on these. Let me know quickly if you do NOT want what’s listed below. Please just PayPal colley@westhuntsville.org for the shirts and shipping. Refer to the previous blog post for details. If your name is not listed below, your request cam in later your size was sold out. Let me know if anyone else needs a size small by emailing byhcontest@gmail.com. I can still fill that order, but that’s all! Thanks!

You are the best! I’m trying to get our little holiday contest together, too. I have a little prize I’m making for the winners of that. So watch for details. I hope your weekend is great. Keep the Colley House in your prayers. We love our family in Him!

On a much more sober note (than t-shirts),  I love what Jesus and the Spirit said to the church in Sardis. I cling to this in 2021. Let’s be overcomers together. May all the names on this page and all the diggers’ names be confessed. I want to be confessed. Above all, I want to be confessed and get that white clothing! White has never been my color, but it is GOING TO BE!

He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.”

Who wants a t-shirt?

Who wants a T-shirt?

We have a very limited number of t-shirts left from our September order and this bargain-blessed basement needs ANY items gone! You can order your Digging Deep 2021-22 shirt today for just $11.00 plus shipping by sending your name and mailing address to byhcontest@gmail.com. The sizes I have are listed below. I’ll post a list here tomorrow of those ladies who were first to respond and are receiving a shirt via USPS.

When you receive your shirt, send a check to: Cindy Colley— 1519 Old Monrovia Road, NW—Huntsville, AL 35806 ) OR you can PayPal this address: colley@westhuntsville.org

Please include $11.00 plus $6.00 shipping and handling.  (If you want two or three shirts, shipping will be $9.00)

I hope the shirt works for your wardrobe, but mostly for your evangelism. I have already heard of several people who’ve been able to start Biblical conversations  just by wearing the shirts. I’ve also heard of people who find other diggers in random places (like thrift stores) when they wear the shirt!

Here are the available sizes. I have…

13 small shirts

5 medium shirts

1 large shirt

3 XXL shirts

1 XXXXL shirt.

Look, in the next couple of days, for your names, so you can be watching the still- lagging USPS for your package. Remember, you have to send the email first to let me know your name, shipping address and sizes needed. Then, you watch for your name here, so you can see if I still had your size when you requested. Then–only then–pay shirt prices and shipping with check or PayPal.

Mostly, don’t just wear the shirt. Wear the Word it represents. Wear the Savior who is speaking to us through the book of John. Be hidden in Christ (Col. 3:3)!

For Today: T-Shirts, Hoodies and Graven Images

Tonight’s the podcast.  We will not have time to cover everything because this month’s study  has been a BIG and long and time-intensive blessing. Sometimes, when it’s coming together, I have no idea just how relevant it will be or what a big blessing to my days will be afforded when it’s actually time to dig in! (This is not because of anything I do, of course. The Word is always just that way.)  I hope you’ll be there. Join on livestream if you can, so you can comment directly….And do comment!

Now, let’s finish up t-shirts and hoodies!  I think all orders are either filled or refunded.  So here’s what’s left. (And don’t even ask…I do not KNOW why we have twelve  XXL hoodies. But maybe somebody wants a roomy one. Or I may personally be wearing roomy ones for the next dozen years. Roomy ones ARE comfy!)

SO here’s the deal. They tell me we can’t put a counter on these on the website. so we are going to sell them right here. First come, first serve. Just claim by putting your name and size below on the DIGGING DEEP IN GOD”S WORD PAGE (nowhere else, please). IF YOU GET A MESSAGE from me, it means you bought one and then you can PayPal $17.50 plus $7.50 shipping for a t-shirt or $29.00 plusstudy interrupted! =) $9.00 shipping for a hoodie and we will send straight-away. Don’t paypal till you hear from me. (If you don’t do PayPal, you can send a check and I will go ahead and send out. I trust you!) These will not, of course, go book rate, so you should receive pretty quickly. (I may not have time to respond till late tonight AFTER the podcast! (My grandkids have already spent a chunk of my morning on FaceTime! Who can study while that’s going on?)

The Ten books are still available on the website www.thecolleyhouse.org/store.

Digging Deep: “Glory” fits us to a T!

We’re off and running. The first Dig-a-Bit is coming soon, the first typos in the study have  already been discovered, and the t-shirts have sold out in several sizes. But those things are unimportant, of course. The main thing is that hundreds (maybe thousands) of women are in the Word (translations of His Will in two languages) and that we are already taking baby steps toward reflecting His glory in larger aways than we’ve been able in the past.  This is making me happy…

…And crazy! Glenn and I left home for a few days of R&R. We had caught up on shipping books, but we carried a couple of cases with us, along with packing materials, just in case there were more orders to fill. Suffice it to say, we turned right back around and headed home within a few hours because the orders were still pouring in. This is VERY encouraging and we are hard at work once more. We are going to try this road trip again in a few hours and take three more cases with us this time!

About the T-shirts…that was a quick sell-out, so we are going back to the t-shirt company and run another batch. Since it’s hard to tell just how many to buy, this time we are only going to print those that you pre-order. You can pre-order here:   https://thecolleyhouse.org/store, but do so by September 12th, This will be the last batch we print of the GLORY shirts. I might get another one, because mine is in the laundry all the time…wearing that shirt several times a week!

None of these little details are “kabad”, but the study is. This month, we are learning that the word, that will later most often be translated “glory”, was often in the early Old Testament translated as “heavy” or “rich” or “ grievous” or “sore”. We are learning that the Holy Spirit wants us to know that the combined attributes of Diety are very weighty. They are, in fact, infinite.

The Holy Spirit described this in chapter 55 of the book of Isaiah, the prophet:

For my thoughts are not your thoughts,

neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

For as the heavens are higher than the earth,

so are my ways higher than your ways,

and my thoughts than your thoughts.

So why? Why are we studying His glory, when we know, before we begin, that the full understanding of his attributes is unattainable for us, as mere human beings? The answer is in the same passage in Isaiah:

For as the rain cometh down,

and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither,

but watereth the earth,

and maketh it bring forth and bud,

that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth:

it shall not return unto me void,

but it shall accomplish that which I please,

and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

We have this amazing promise. His Word will not return to Him without accomplishing its purpose. What is its purpose for Cindy Colley? I praise Him that the purpose is to give me saving faith (Romans 10:17). I praise Him that the purpose for my having His Word is that I might be saved from sin, from hell, from darkness. I praise Him that the purpose for me is that I might have a share in His GLORY!??? Would that even be possible, that I could share in an entity so majestic as his GLORY? Romans 8:17 tells me, in no uncertain terms, that, as his child, I can!

And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

Praise Him! Glorify Him!

The-Alabama-Sun’s-Finally-Out Pre-Spring T-Shirt Clearance!

When the basement at the Colley house flooded last Saturday, along with lots of other things that flooded in our area over the weekend,  I quickly grabbed those t-shirts stored in the book room and brought them upstairs to a safer dryer climate. They are undamaged and still new.  If you want one, just in time for T-shirt weather, I’ll send you one of the remaining few for five dollars plus whatever the actual shipping on your package is when it arrives in your mailbox! Since quantities are limited, you need to order by emailing me your desired size(s) and your mailing address to byhcontest@gmail.com. Then send a check or PayPal me (Message me for PP address)  when your shirt arrives. We have limited quantities of S, L, XL, 2XL and 3XL left. They’re cornflower blue and the lettering is a creamy off-white.  I’ve worn and washed mine lots and it’s still in good shape. They are Comfort Colors brand, so, as you know, I’m losing money on these clearance ones! I’ll try and post on the DD group page when they are gone. Thanks!

And, among the silver linings are…we only lost a relatively small number of books to water damage… I was keeping five little boys that day (some of them not so little), who were able to help move some major stuff… Glenn’s preaching appointment put him back in town on Saturday afternoon to help mop up and dehumidify…and the trees that normally bloom around mid-March are stepping up their game!

But my new rain boots got a year’s worth of puddle-jumping in a week!

Don’t forget the podcast is Tuesday night at 7 CST!
