When we start inviting people to study, and covering our invitations with prayer, two things happen:
- We get bolder to say the words “Would you like to join us (me) for this study?”
- God gives us more and more opportunities to meet women who want to know more of His Word.
You remember Angie Parsley, who decided to personally invite each woman in her church, messaging 53 ladies (https://thecolleyhouse.org/wp-admin/post.php?post=21026&action=edit). Their group is now somewhere in the fifties. (Women say “yes” pretty often and each woman was challenged to invite just one more!)
Well, this happened at Walmart (from Angie):
I hate to blow up your phone constantly with this, but this is just amazing. I was just in Walmart buying binders. The self checkout made an associate come over because I was stuffing all these binders in bags and the machine thought I was stealing them lol. So she came over and said “that’s a lot of binders! Are you a teacher?” I said no, but I’m starting a Bible study with some ladies and it keeps growing where I need to keep buying binders. She asked what we were studying and I told her about DD and she said “Wow that sounds interesting!” I invited her to come and she was all over it. She added me as a friend right there in the checkout and wants all the info. She requested to join the DD group (_______ ______ is her name, if she’s asking to be added). I’m so blown away by this. As of this morning we are well over 50 that have said yes. Completely amazed and thankful!!
I checked and this Walmart worker had already requested to be a part of the group. God won’t ever force anyone to study or obey. But He is faithful to provide opportunities for those who seek Him and for those who seek lost souls.
His HAND is working. Sometimes the blessings fall right into our laps…at Walmart! Keep inviting!
