Two Letters to the Unborn

IsaiahLongDear Baby,

We openly acknowledge you as a person.  We admit you’re human.  We know you are a living human. You have all of your genetic material. Your heart is beating and we know you can feel pain. Although your tiny brain is developing, you’re not yet old enough to understand the value we place on your mother’s emotional health. We want her to be happy, enabled to go on with her life unencumbered by your hunger, your pain, your needs and the demands that you might make on her time. We have handed her all the constitutional rights and declared that you have none. So, if she decides you will die, that’s it.  We will make sure your death occurs without fanfare and we will work to create an America where your mother feels good about her decision after you’re dead.  We vow to persecute, prosecute, and to use whatever legal options we can create to make sure you die if she wants you dead. In fact, we want the American people to pay for the “procedure” that stops your heart. We’ve been successful in facilitating the death of fifty five million tiny people just like you and we can facilitate yours, as well. We want to be sure there is a convenient place for your mother to go to have you killed and to dispose of you and we want to be sure that she is protected from those, even her own parents, who might interfere with your death.

Democratic Platform, pg. 46

We will support sexual and reproductive health and rights around the globe. In addition to expanding the availability of affordable family planning information and contraceptive supplies, we believe that safe abortion must be part of comprehensive maternal and women’s health care and included as part of America’s global health programming. Therefore, we support the repeal of harmful restrictions that obstruct women’s access to health care information and services, including the “global gag rule” and the Helms Amendment that bars American assistance to provide safe, legal abortion throughout the developing world.  (

From the Democratic Vice-Presidential Debate

“For his part, Kaine responded that he supported Roe v. Wade and that he opposed comments made by Donald Trump months ago wherein the Republican presidential nominee said he believed the woman should be punished for having an abortion.

“But the last thing, the very last thing that government should do is have laws that would punish women who make reproductive choices,” stated Kaine.

“And that is the fundamental difference between a Clinton-Kaine ticket and a Trump-Pence ticket that wants to punish women who make that choice.’”

DSC_0247Dear Baby,

We openly acknowledge you as a person, a human being, a life given by our Creator.  You must be protected from politicians who exploit cultures for gain; who care nothing for you and refuse to protect you.  We will do all within our power legally and legislatively to be sure that you live outside the womb. We believe that our constitution protects every life, including the small ones still in the wombs. We will  pour our influence into saving your life, even if your mother does not value you.  We know that the survival of our republic greatly depends on respect for the sanctity of life—innocent human life— and that, of course, includes you.  That you would be murdered in a place intended by our Creator to be so safe is anathema to us.  The emotional well-being of all people is important to us, but the pursuit of one person’s happiness, in our country, can never extend to the extinction of the life of another. We are your advocate until you can speak for yourself.

Republican Platform,  pg. 13

The Constitution’s guarantee that no one can “be deprived of life, liberty or property” deliberately echoes the Declaration of Independence’s proclamation that “all” are “endowed by their Creator” with the inalienable right to life. Accordingly, we assert the sanctity of human life and affirm that the unborn child has a fundamental right to life which cannot be infringed. We support a human life amendment to the Constitution and legislation to make clear that the Fourteenth Amendment’s protections apply to children before birth. ([1]-ben_1468872234.pdf)

“I would tell you that for me the sanctity of life proceeds out of the belief that — that ancient principle that — where God says before you were formed in the womb, I knew you, and so for my first time in public life, I sought to stand with great compassion for the sanctity of life,” added Pence, referencing Jeremiah 1:5.

“But what I can’t understand is with Hillary Clinton and now Senator Kaine at her side is to support a practice like partial-birth abortion. I mean, to hold to the view — and I know Senator Kaine, you hold pro-life views personally — but the very idea that a child that is almost born into the world could still have their life taken from them is just anathema to me.”

(Kaine/Pence Debate,

The above information written/composed by Glenn and Cindy Colley. We are neither Republican, nor Democratic–but Christians, therefore conservative.  As such, we support the strong stance for life in the Republican Platform of 2016 and we descry the devaluation of life and the call for continuing the human slaughter that is abortion in the 2016 Democratic Platform.
